Traffic & Transportation Engineering Professional Services Panel (TTEPS)
PTSL is a subconsultant to lead consultant Beca on the Traffic and Transportation Engineering Professional Services Panel (TTEPS). The panel provides a range of traffic and transportation engineering services for Auckland Transport to address safety and operational issues across the Auckland road network.
Under this contract PTSL has been assisting Auckland Transport with a range of project investigations including:
- Pedestrian accessibility and crossing improvements (including pedestrian refuges, zebra crossings and signalised crossings)
- Intersection upgrades to address safety and operational issues
- Road safety improvements and investigations
- Public transport improvements for buses including studies into bus route efficiency and operation, priority lanes and bus lane trials
- Studies on freight efficiency and improvements
PTSL is focused on the early parts of these projects clearly identifying the issues and opportunities for improvements including concept and scheme designs. PTSL works collaboratively with Beca as lead consultant on the panel with Beca frequently progressing projects through the detailed design process for construction.
