Cryers Road / Trugood Drive Intersection Improvements
This intersection is located in an industrial area with high freight movements. The ‘T’ intersection had a history of turning crashes and experienced delays on the side road at peak times which delayed the movement of freight.
PTSL investigated the operation of the intersection and identified improvements to the intersection to improve the safety and operational efficiency of the intersection. The design upgraded the intersection from a priority-controlled 'T' intersection to a roundabout and incorporated improvements for 
pedestrians to assist crossing Cryers Road and Trugood Drive. Metering traffic signals were included on Trugood Drive to assist in managing traffic at the intersection.
PTSL worked with Auckland Transport in developing the project to ensure that the design incorporated changing design standards and requirements.
